Charity Bennett is a legal assistant who currently handles all Fraternal of Police matters for Elkus & Sisson. Prior to working at Elkus & Sisson, Charity gained experience as a legal assistant at a bodily injury law firm and a probate firm which are both located in Denver, Colorado. Charity grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountain region of Virginia. She moved to the New River Valley and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Radford University where she Majored in Criminal Justice and received a Minor in Psychology. Charity worked for the Montgomery County Commonwealth Attorney’s office as an intern her senior year of college and was offered a full-time position as a Victim/Witness Coordinator thereafter. She worked very closely with the Blacksburg and Virginia Tech communities as a victim advocate and was actively involved with domestic and sexual violence prevention council’s. Charity also received a Graduate Certificate from the University of Richmond’s Virginia Victim Assistance Academy during this time.
