Alyssa Porter

Alyssa Porter is the firms Civil and Criminal paralegal. She graduated from the University of Limerick in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Ms. Porter received her Paralegal Certificate from Georgetown University in 2016. Prior to joining Elkus & Sisson, Ms. Porter worked at a Litigation Firm in downtown Washington, D.C.

Laura Wurmbrand

Laura Wurmbrand is the firm’s Family Law paralegal. She graduated from Cal Poly, Pomona in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Business. She received her Paralegal Certificate from Arapahoe Community College in 2010. Since then she has been working exclusively in the field of Family Law along-side her attorney Michael Cheroutes. She handles cases regarding divorce, separation, modification and allocation of parental responsibilities. She has gone through a divorce herself and enjoys being able to help and support clients through what can sometimes be emotional litigation. In her spare time she enjoys running half marathons and spending time with her fiancé and teenage daughter (when she is willing).

Keri Roberts

Keri Roberts is the firm’s lead Case Manager/Paralegal responsible for complex litigation, defective medical devices, pharmaceutical litigation, personal injury matters and mass tort litigation.  Keri’s has been with Elkus & Sisson, P.C. for five years. Her primary role is to assist attorneys representing clients and in the organization and management of all pharmaceutical and defective medical devise cases, which includes working directly with the firm’s clients to ensure that each has a voice in the preparation of their case. 

Keri enjoys the daily challenges of working in the field of mass torts and to helping clients to understand and navigate a complex legal environment.  Keri also has broad experience assisting attorneys in other areas such as civil litigation, criminal law, business and corporate law, and family law.

Currently, Keri is responsible for supervising the comprehensive and efficient management of all complex litigation cases involving Xareltotransvaginal mesh (TVM), and Physiomesh hernia repair.
